Pacific Business News reported that the iconic Beach House Restaurant on Kauai’s South Shore has sold for nearly $11 million.  The buyer of the restaurant was Handcrafted Restaurants, a group headed by local Hawaii chef Peter Merriman and restaurateur Bill Terry.  The restaurant building totals 9,082 square feet and sits on a 0.8-acre piece of oceanfront land.  Handcrafted Restaurants also owns the very popular Monkeypod Kitchen chain of restaurants, but reports that they have no intention of converting the Beach House to a Monkeypod Kitchen. The new owner hopes to build on the great legacy of the Beach House.
